Having just posted a comment on an old school chums facebook status, another, once very popular, cocky boy who was in my high school put me and my comment down within minutes of my having posted it. “and that’s what I call choking”. He said. Cock.

That would be fine 99.99% of the time, especially if I had any kind of friendly rapport with this person, but the fact that after 5+ years of not a word spoken, he left a dickish response to my post, coupled with him having been a guy who was once a popular kid in school, always in the group I was tentatively skirting around, brought back an unpleasant nostalgia laden with inferiority and longing.

I’m just wondering if you feel those 17 year old feelings you thought were long gone when you encounter things and folks that rocked your development, or have you gotten past that (as I thought I had)?
